Delta se celým jménem jmenuje Delta Lea Goodrem a má přezdívku Delts. Narodila se 9.11.1984 v Australské Melbourne ve znamení Štíra. Delta měří 178 cm a původní barva jejích vlasů je světle hnědá, má modré oči. Její rodiče se jmenují Lea a Denis, má bratra Trenta.
Delta při rozhovorech působí sebevědomě,ale ve skutečnosi je docela stydlivá a plachá, na přítomnost médií si už totiž zvykla. Věří v magii a miluje sníh, taky moc ráda lyžuje. Její jméno je řeckého původu, ale přitom tam žádné předky nemá. Bojí se žraloků a její zlozvyky jsou zaspávání a nepořádnost.Deltinýmy nejoblíbenějšímy songy z vlastní tvorby jsou Innocent Eyes a Mistaken Identity.
V součastné době chodí s bývalým zpěvákem skupiny Westlife, Brianem McFaddenem.
Delta a Brian:
Jak to začalo
Delta je jediná zpěvačka, které se v dějeních australského hudebního průmyslu podařilo hned s prvním albem překrocit hranici 1 milionu prodaných nosičů. Delta je sice hodně mladá,a le v showbusinessu není žádným nováčkem, protože už v sedmi letech hrávala v reklamách a televizních show. Za peníze které si takto vydělala si ve svých 12ti letech zaplatila studio a pořídila první demo snímek. Na něj nahrála pět svých skladeb a také vlastní verzi australské hymny, protože vždy snila o tom, že ji jednou zazpívá na počest svého oblíbeného týmu Sydney Swans. Nahrávku nakonec do fotbalového klubu poslala a ta odtud putovala k dalšímu fanouškovi Swans, australského hudebního producenta Glenna Wheatleyho a ten po dvou letech uzavřel tehdy pro 15ti letou Deltu nahrávací smlouvu se Sony Music.
Rakovina
V době, kdy její debutové album Innocent Eyes a singly bodovaly v australských hitparádách a kdy Delta očekávala vyhlášení nominací na ceny Aria, zasáhla všechny její fanoušky zpráva o její nemoci. 8. července 2003 byla Deltě diagnostikována rakovina lymfatických uzlin, která napadá především imunitní systém. Byla hospitalizována do nemocnice a musela podstoupit operaci. Pak byla započata léčba trvající sedm měsíců, chemoterapie, ozažování, ijekce. Delta si řekla,že tohle všechno musí zvládnout a a nakonec to zvládla. Obrovskou podporou jí byly tisíce vzkazů,dopisů a přání brzkého uzdravení od fanoušků z celého světa. Dnes je její rakovina v zástavě, ale i nadále je předmětem sledování s testů. Delta pomáhá lidem trpícím rakovinou,má nadaci The Delta Goodrem Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Trust Fund.Jednu z mála přestávek v probíhající terapii byla Deltina účast na slavnostním předávání australských cen Aria 21.října 2003 kde z deseti nominací získala rekordních 7.
